Day 1: LAGOS ARRIVAL

Day 2: LAGOS BADAGRY
Historic Day Tour of Badagry Town from Lagos
Depart Lagos on a historic day tour of Badagry, a coastal town that was one of West Africa’s first slave ports. Visit the Badagry slave market site and the Point of No Return, where captured Africans left for the Americas to meet their fate. See an early missionary’s cemetery and explore the Slave Trade Relics Museum, telling the slave trade story through artifacts like ceramic bowls once exchanged for lives. Badagry is also home to the Barracoon, cells where slaves stayed shackled with neck chains and mouth locks for months. The origin of Badagry could be traced back to the period when people lived along the coast of Gberefu which later gave birth to the town of Badagry. Badagry is a commercial town located in the western tip of Lagos state about two hour’s drive from Lagos metropolis. Notable places of interest to be visited include; Mobee Family Slave Trade Museum, Badagry Heritage Museum, Badagry Slave Port, Point of No Return (Slave embarkation poiny), Badagry Slave Market Site, Seriki Abass Brazilian Barracoon, First Storey Building in Nigeria.

Day 3: LAGOS
Morning: Private Guided Tour of the Lekki Conservation Centre
Lekki Conservation Centre is a place where nature meets nurture, a place every tourist would love to be. A walk on the boardwalk offers so much, the monkeys and beautiful birds to view. The minute you walk into the Conservation Centre you feel the serene quality of a nature reserve, a different state of mind from the bustling life of the city. At the Conservation Centre you have the option of the boardwalk or the newly built Skywalk Canopy. For bird lovers you can see and hear birds chirping, and the occasional presence of the monkeys. The remoteness of the reserve gives a total bonding of man and nature. There is also a lovely park for even the kids to have fun and they can also enjoy the manmade pond with a variety of colored fishes. For bird lovers, a lovely bird watch post is situated in the reserve as well.
Afternoon: Kalakuta Museum Private Tour
Tour the Kalakuta Museum—highlighting the life of legendary Afrobeat musician Fela Kuti—in Lagos with a private guide. Opened in 2012, the property served as Kuti’s residence from the 1970s until his 1997 death. Kuti is buried in a mausoleum on the grounds. See his preserved bedroom as well as other artifacts and exhibits pertaining to his life throughout the space. There is an onsite gift shop and a rooftop bar where you can savor a cocktail (own expense) while reflecting on Kuti’s many musical contributions. Right from the minute you step into the Kalakuta Museum grounds, first on the left is the Mausoleum where the late Afrobeat Legend was buried. Then from there you find the main entrance, leading to the ground floor of the Museum, here you find Televisions screens showing clips of late Fela on stage during his life time. On the ground floor you will find the souvenir shop filled with memorabilia of the late Fela, from T-shirts,to gift items and CD compilations of Fela’s music. Then up the stairs to the second floor which holds his bedroom, his clothes worn during his tours and stage performances, awards and more pictures of him, his families, and his many wives (27). From here you get to the last floor which is an open roof Top bar. Here you can soak up the sun while having a drink of Palm wine with Fela’s music in the background.

Day 4: LAGOS – DEPARTURE
Full day at leisure and option to enjoy a day tour.
Early evening transfer to the airport to catch departure flight home.
